Regina Etoll Steps Down as PEA President

Dear PEA Members,

It is with some personal sadness that I will no longer be able to serve you on the Board.

As of July 5th, I will be stepping down as President of PEA. I was promoted to a different position within the city that unfortunately will require me to change bargaining units.

When I started with the city back in 2000 I became an active member in PEA by attending meetings, asking questions and offering my thoughts. Then from 2004-2013 I served as a Steward, from 2014-2018 I sat on the Executive Board as Vice President and in 2019 was voted in as President. I tell you this for a couple reasons:

1. For 22 years I have had the support and backing from a union that does care and has helped me to develop personally and professionally in each of those roles. I don’t know what it’s like in other bargaining units, but as an outsider to those bargaining units looking in, PEA is by far the best!

2. I also want to encourage folks to participate in any capacity that they can. Being a member who attends meetings, asks questions, and gives suggestions/feedback is huge. No one is “just a member” you are an important part with a very important role.

In the interim our current Vice President, Joe Musolf, will be acting President.

Please know that each person on the Executive Board, all the Stewards and Special Committee folks are strongly committed to PEA and the members and I know they will continue to look after interests of PEA, which is all of you.

As always, feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions (or want to grab coffee, lunch etc 😉).

It has been an honor and a privilege to serve PEA. It’s also hard to say goodbye, so I’ll say so long and I hope to see y’all around.

Thank you,

Regina Etoll
